25 RTP projects in the pipeline for Tellian

MUKAH:  Some 25 projects have been listed under the Rural Transformation Projects (RTP) in Tellian constituency which are expected to be implemented this year.

Tellian assemblyman Royston Valentine said in 2021, there were 27 RTP, of which 11 had been completed and eight each being implemented and proposed, respectively.

In 2020, the RTP were 29, and out of the total, three were being proposed, two being implemented and 24 had been completed.

There were 21 completed RTP in 2019 and 2018 (19).

“I thank former Tellian assemblyman Yussibnosh Balo for providing the plan for the various RTP during his term of office,” he said on Wednesday (Jan 12).

On Tuesday (Jan 11) he attended a briefing on RTP, which was chaired by acting Mukah Division Resident Shafrie Saili and attended by the project’s implementing agencies at Menara Pehin Setia Raja here.

According to Royston, the briefing focused on RTP from 2018 until this year.

He said the development agenda for Tellian constituency would be continued consistently for the benefit of the people.

He hoped that all the agencies involved would continue to cooperate in ensuring that the projects would be implemented as planned and according to specifications.

He added the RTP would be funded by the annual RM5 million grant allocated by the Sarawak government to each constituency.
