44 active clusters now in state

KUCHING: Sarawak reported two new clusters today, bringing the number of active clusters in the state to 44.

The new clusters are the Jalan Kapitan cluster in Marudi and the Disso cluster in Saratok.

“Of the total active clusters, nine clusters reported increases in cases,” said Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) said in a statement

“The Jalan Baji Cluster in Sarikei has seen an increase of 16 cases, followed by the Bulatan Aman Cluster in Sibu (11), the Tembok Sri Aman Cluster in Sri Aman (six), three each from the Jalan Kingsway Cluster in Miri, the Emperoh Jambu Cluster in Kuching and the Sungai Kawi Cluster in Meradong, and one each from the Lorong Desa Senadin Cluster in Miri, the Jalan Kingsway Cluster in Marudi and the Jalan Baji Cluster in Tanjung Manis,” it added.

The committee said 12 districts remained in the red zone, four remained orange, 19 remained yellow while five remained green.
