Cops get food aid from TYT and wife

The food aid package will be distributed to 750 personnel in Sarawak IPK.

KUCHING: Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud and wife Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Raghad Kurdi Taib donated food and drinks to the Sarawak Police Contingent Headquarters (IPK) operations room yesterday.

The aid, in the form chicken biryani rice and mineral water, was distributed to 750 personnel who are working to curb the spread of Covid-19.

Taib and Raghad expressed their gratitude for the sacrifices and commitment of the Sarawak frontliners in carrying out their responsibilities and prayed that the outbreak will be contained soon.

The handover ceremony took place at the Governor’s office. Handing over the aid to the State IPK Public Order Department chief Supt Ismail Mahmood was Taib’s secretary Datuk Mustapa Han.

According to Mustapha, the Astana Negeri Sarawak will endeavour to extend assistance to the frontliners in recognition of their hard work in dealing with the spread of the Covid-19 outbreak.

Also present at the handover ceremony were several senior officials of Astana Negeri Sarawak.
