BEKENU, MIRI: A teenager has lodged a police report after he was punched repeatedly on the face by two men and suffered two blacken eyes as a result.
According to the 19-year-old victim and son of a local journalist in Bekenu, he was attacked near Bekenu Rural Transformation Centre (RTC) building on Tuesday night.
Prior to the 8.30pm attack, the teenager and a friend was riding a motorcycle to Kampung Dagang, Bekenu when they were approached by a four-wheel-drive (4WD) vehicle.
Near Bekenu RTC building, two men came out of the vehicle and confronted the teenager before punching him repeatedly on the face.
According to sources, the assailants have accused the victim of messing around with their brother.
However, the actual cause of the incident has not been determined yet and police are still investigating.
