JKKKs in Marudi get MRP funds

KUCHING: Several Village Security and Development Committees (JKKKs) in the Marudi constituency received Minor Rural Project (MRP) funds from assemblyman Datuk Dr Penguang Manggil.

JKKK Rh Jantan Sg Bakas, JKKK Rh Thomas Tan Sg Temam, JKKK Rh Anthony Kedit Loagan Manuk received RM20,000 while JKKK Rh Ali received 15,000, JKKK Rh Embuas; RM10,000 and JKKK Rh Datu; RM5,000.

Rh Jantan Sg Bakas Women’s Bureau and Rh Subu Women’s Bureau also received MRP funds totalling RM5,000 each, while SJK Hua Kwong Beluru’s Parent-Teacher Association received RM10,000.

RM40,000 was given to SK Sg Bakas to upgrade its facilities.

“In addition, on behalf of my wife, I handed over two wheelchairs donated by the Association of Wives of State Ministers, Assistant Ministers and State Assemblymen (Sabati) to Aji Nyambong and Kadam Ambas from Rh Jantan,” he said in his Facebook post after visiting Rh Jantan, Gumbang Sg Bakas on Monday (July 13).

Penguang, the Assistant Minister of Local Government and Housing, also urged community leaders to inform him on any issues faced by the community.

“It is my responsibility to gather this information and present it to the government agencies in order to find a solution.”
