KUCHING: Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud received two courtesy calls – from the new Consul General of Brunei Darussalam and a delegation from the Sarawak Petroleum Contractors Association (SPCA), in Demak Jaya here today.

The first visitor, Noni Zurainah Ismail had replaced Pengiran Kartini Pengiran Tahir as the new Consul General at the Brunei Consulate here.

Meanwhile, the SPCA delegation was led by its president Datuk Rahman Lariwoo. The visit was to seek advice from Taib, besides informing the role and responsibilities of the association which was established in August this year.

Rahman said the association would facilitate greater involvement of its members in the state’s oil and gas industry.
