KUCHING: Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas will resume his post as the State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) chairman.
State Secretary Datuk Amar Jaul Samion handed over the duty documents for the position to Uggah at Wisma Bapa Malaysia, Petra Jaya here on Thursday (Jan 6).
For the record, the post of SDMC chairman was handed over to Jaul on Nov 6 last year following the dissolution of the State Legislative Assembly (DUN) to make way for the 12th state election.
Also present to witness the handing over of the duty documents on Thursday were Deputy Chief Minister cum SDMC advisor Datuk Seri Dr Sim Kui Hian; Deputy State Secretary (Rural Transformation) Datuk Ik Pahon Joyik; and State Health Department acting director Dr Rosemawati Ariffin.
