MIRI: Motorists who have been dragging their feet to pay up parking compounds have been given more time to settle their dues.

Miri City Council has extended its amnesty offer, where these motorists will be given a 50 per cent discount on their compounds, until July 31, after which it will resort to sterner action to recover the monies.

“The council has decided to extend the amnesty period to MCC parking defaulters to pay up their compounds during the amnesty period,” said Mayor Adam Yii.

Motorists can check if they have any outstanding parking fees through its website www.miricitycouncil.gov.my, Borneo Parking Systems Sdn. Bhd’s website www.borneoparking.com or through the Smart Parking Borneo App.

Payment of outstanding parking fees can be made through all parking booths in the city or through the Smart Parking Borneo App.

The App is available for download through Google Play Store and Apple App Store. It is also available to Huawei phone users using the Android Operating System except for the Harmony Operating System.
