KUCHING: A 29-year-old woman was fined RM1,200 for slapping her male acquaintance during an incident at the Jalan Samarak traffic light intersection here, last week.
Juliana from Bau pleaded guilty to the charge before Magistrate Zubaidah Sharkawi on Today (Sept 19).
Zubaidah ordered the accused to serve three months jail if she fails to pay the fine.
Juliana was accused of slapping the 21-year-old victim’s face at the traffic light intersection around 5pm, on September 12.
According to the facts of the case, the victim was riding a motorcycle at the scene when he was suddenly slapped by a woman known to him, who was also riding a motorcycle.
The victim subsequently made a police report of the incident.
It is understood that the incident resulted from a disagreement between them.
