MIRI: A total of 57 individuals successfully donated their blood during the Sarawak Forestry Corporation (SFC) blood donation drive on Yesterday (Oct 19).
The blood donation drive held at Pisau Nature Reserve was organised in collaboration with Deleum Oilfield Services Sdn Bhd.
“Out of the 77 staff from SFC and Deleum Oilfield Services present, 57 were qualified to donate their blood during this campaign.
“Blood donation activities can help save the lives of needy individuals such as accident victims, leukemia and cancer patients as well as other serious diseases,” it said in a social media post on Yesterday (Oct 19).
SFC stated that the practice of donating blood is also good for the donor’s health as the red blood cells will be replaced within 24 hours.
“We would like to thank everyone for taking part thus making the donation campaign a success,” it added.
