SIBU: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim requested Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg to extend his ‘kuliah’ (lecture) to all elected representatives and heads of government.

Abang Johari said that on Saturday, at a Cabinet meeting at Wisma Bapa Malaysia, Anwar requested him to give a 30-minute talk to all the ministers in the federal Cabinet on state development.

“Before they started the meeting, the PM requested 30 minutes from me to teach them how we live and how we develop the state of Sarawak, particularly in the new economy — the hydrogen economy and the green economy which are new to them.

“So, yesterday, I became a teacher to educate the federal Cabinet. You know what happened; he used the word in Malay ‘kuliah’. Kuliah means a lecture.

“Now he wants me to give another talk to all the YBs, MPs  and CMs (chief ministers) on the new economy that Sarawak has adopted. ‘Sekarang dia ikut kita. Kita tidak ikut dia’ (Now they follow us. We don’t follow them). We are very humbled,” he said.
