DALAT: The Anjung Budaya building is the latest development project successfully implemented in this district this year.
Welfare, Community Wellbeing, Women, Family and Childhood Development Minister Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah said the premises, which is located next to Dewan Masyarakat Dalat, could be used to organise cultural activities and official receptions, among others.
Fatimah said this after officiating at a simple opening ceremony on Wednesday (May 5).
At the ceremony, she also handed a letter of appointment to Ketua Kaum Edward Ell Tang, who has been appointed as Anjung Budaya Dewan Masyarakat Dalat Management and Maintainence Committee chairman.
Fatimah, who is also Dalat assemblywoman, hoped that the committee would play its role in the development of cultural activities in the district.
