KUCHING: The Anugerah Carta Lagu Bidayuh (ACLB) and Anugerah Carta Sapa Juara (ACSJ) will take place at RTM Kuching’s car park ground on Oct 27 and 28, respectively.

This marks the first time both awards will take place at the same venue.

Sarawak broadcasting director Wan Azhan Wan Ahmat said the programme is part of a collaboration with Bidayuh and Iban leaders who serve as patrons for the programme.

“ACLB, which began in 2005, is into its ninth edition while ACSJ, which began in 2014, marks its seventh edition.

“Both awards serve as platforms for local artists to share not only their ideas, talents but also their knowledge in uplifting Sarawak’s music industry.”

For ACLB, five categories will be competed. The champion will take home RM5,000 and a trophy, runner-up will take home RM3,000 and a trophy, and third place will take home RM2,000 plus trophy.
