MIRI: A businessman has the shock of his life after seeing a cobra slithering at the compound of his house at Jalan Pujut here at 9.50am yesterday.
Fearing for his safety, the 42-year-old contacted Miri District Civil Defence Force (APM) for assistance.
Miri APM officer, Captain Mohd Hazle Shah Abdul Hamid said three personnel were dispatched to the scene to remove the snake from the house after receiving an emergency call from the complainant.
“It took us about 15 minutes to catch the one-metre-long poisonous reptile using special tools,” he said here.
Mohd Hazle said the cobra was later taken to APM office for further action.
