BINTULU: Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg officially launched the first East Malaysian drive-through outlet of Bask Bear, the Malaysian innovative coffee disruptor brand inspired by the basking Malayan sun bear.

The grand opening took place at NAIM Street Mall, Bintulu Paragon here, during Abang Johari’s visit to the industrial town today (Apr 17).

The ribbon-cutting ceremony was performed by Bintulu Development Authority (BDA) Datuk Haidar Khan Bin Asghar Khan, who represented the Premier.

Spanning an impressive 1,600 square feet, this new outlet marks a significant milestone for Bask Bear, strategically located in the heart of central Borneo.

Notably, Bintulu is renowned for its trendiest street mall and boasts the longest covered walkway in Sarawak, making it the perfect setting for Bask Bear’s expansion.

Founder and chief executive officer (CEO) of Loob Holding, Bryan Loo, expressed gratitude to the Premier for supporting local brands like Bask Bear.

He emphasised the brand’s commitment to convenience, evident in the investment made to introduce the drive-through concept at this location.
