KUCHING: The ‘Cabaran Video Ulasan Buku @ SocMed’ video competition begins from April 19 until May 2.

Organised by the Sarawak State Library, the competition is held in conjunction with this year’s ‘Let’s Read Together’ programme.

‘Let’s Read Together’ is a joint reading programme held in conjunction with World Book Day on April 23 each year, and its main objective is to raise awareness and foster reading interest in the community.

The competition is open to the public and they are welcome to share their favourite reading materials or books by posting video reviews of the reading materials or books based on their creativity.

“As we know it, the movement control order (MCO) is a government initiative to curb the outbreak of Covid-19, and together we obey and respond to the government’s urge to #dudukrumah and #bacadirumah,” a statement read yesterday.

The public can upload video reviews of the books on their Facebook or Instagram, make sure the post is set to ‘Public’ and include a fence or hashtag as follows: #pustakanegerisarawak, #jombacaswk2020, #malaysiamembaca, #sarawakmembaca, #dudukrumah, #bacadirumah, #cabaranvideoulasanbuku@socmed
