KUCHING: The Centre for Technology Excellence Sarawak (Centexs) is intensifying its efforts to cultivate youth skills aligned with the state’s vision for a greener future.

Datuk Roland Sagah Wee Inn announced that the ministry, through Centexs, is developing programmes aimed at producing talents in green industries, in line with Sarawak’s Post-Covid-19 Development Strategy (PCDS) 2030.

“Currently, Centexs offers four training programmes in the field of Green Energy and Environmental Sustainability at the postgraduate level, catering to candidates with undergraduate degrees,” said the Sarawak Minister for Education, Innovation and Talent Development.

“Furthermore, Centexs is in the process of designing new green training programmes targeting school-leavers. These programmes will cover topics related to green technology and green energy, catering to students from primary school to university.

“This ensures that all Sarawakians have equal opportunities to participate in the state’s overall development and benefit from education, employment and business opportunities,” he added.
