KAPIT: Eight firemen from Kapit fire station were mobilised to Happy Garden at Jalan Beletik today after fire was spotted engulfing a storage container.

The firemen led by PBK II Abu Osman rushed to the scene following a distress call received at 3.12pm.

According to Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operation centre, the storage container was used to house tanks filled with flammable liquid.

Upon arrival at the scene, the firemen discovered that a tank with a capacity of 3,000 litres of flammable liquid was ablaze.

No casualties or injuries were reported.

Meanwhile in LIMBANG, A man in his 30s who is believed to be of unsound mind was rescued after he fell into a manhole at the hospital here this evening.

Seven firemen from Limbang fire station and an Emergency Medical And Rescue Services (EMRS) vehicle rushed to the scene following a distress call received at 7.28pm this evening

After the man was fished out of the manhole, he was taken to hospital for treatment on injuries he sustained from the fall.
