PUNCAK BORNEO: The Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) will implement several minor rural projects (MRP) in Kampung Giam here.
MPP chairman Lo Khere Chiang said among the proposed MRP were building Foot Bridge, repairing concrete walkway and constructing a bin centre for proper disposal of rubbish.
Lo said he and the councillors have visited the village on Saturday (June 27) to better understand the sentiments and wishes of the folks there.
“Together with the tua kampung and our resident councillors, we shall try to meet the expectations of the residents in Kampung Giam,” added Lo.
Lo said the council was also considering upgrading the narrow road leading to the village, adding that the council would bid for funds.
Meanwhile, Kampung Giam Lama headman Achoi Suim said he was told by Lo that works on these projects would start next month or August.
Besides that, he said MPP would also organise community programmes at the village.
