Deputy minister ends visit to Sarawak with Raya Gawai SIBUfm event

SIBU: The Deputy Minister for Communications and Digital Teo Nie Ching ended her two-day working day to Sarawak by attending the Raya Gawai SIBUfm programme here, yesterday (May 4).

Teo, accompanied by Bandar Kuching MP Dr Kelvin Yii, to the Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM) Auditorium, was welcomed by Sarawak Broadcasting director Nasrul Hakim Mohd Noh.

The Raya Gawai SIBUfm 2023 programme attended by RTM Sibu’s strategic partners, various agencies, media partners and RTM Sibu staff, has an audio-visual concept with various activities such as entertainment stage recordings involving SIBUfm announcers and guest artists.

Among the activities were performances by invited singers Dara Hellena, Duna, Lucy M, Sazia Abang Selir and Firdaus.

Head of RTM Sibu Programme Unit Jenny Achan, said the programme recording will be broadcast for SIBUfm on May 21 (Sunday at 10.30 am) and WAIfm Sibu on June 5 (Monday at 2 pm) through the 87.6Mhz frequency.

Meanwhile, Teo attended a briefing on the digital infrastructure development in Song by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) at the Song District Office.

Teo also visited the Point of Presence (PoP) at SK Cardinal Vaughan, Song and the National Digital Interconnection (JENDELA) telecommunications tower site in Nanga Sesawak, Song.

She will be flying back to Kuala Lumpur this evening.
