KUCHING: Sarawak Patriot Association warns the federal government not to treat Sarawak as a ‘dumping ground’ by sending officers or managers who have integrity and ethical issues here.

Its chairman Datuk John Lau said if Malaya wants to treat Sarawak as equal partners, they should only send their best senior staff to manage organisations in Sarawak.

“I have learned that some organisations would transfer their staff to the state as a form of disciplinary action. That is not supposed to happen,” he said in a statement yesterday.

Commenting on Professor Dr Jayum Jawan who said Sarawak has no problem with unity, while Peninsular Malaysia remains a stumbling block to achieving national unity, Lau said if outsiders come to Sarawak to disrupt our unity, it is better for them not to come.

“These are crocodiles who come quietly, we feed them and at the right time, they will just swallow us. SPA is for a prosperous, united and peaceful Sarawak,” he said.
