MIRI: Drugs believed to be methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA) weighing at 1,500grammes and worth around RM29,400 were seized by the police here following the arrest of a man during a raid yesterday.
Miri Police OCPD ACP Alexson Naga Chabu said the arrest was made by Miri Narcotic Criminal Investigation Department (NCID) of Miri Police Headquarters in a raid at about 12.40 am.
The suspect was detained inside a room of a double-storey building in Marina ParkCity.
He said the suspect has been remanded for seven days to assist police investigation into the case.
The case is being investigated under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
