KUCHING: Trienekens (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd will be carrying out early waste collection services in selected areas here with Saturday collection in preparation of the Chinese New Year (CNY) festival. The collection will commence on Jan 24 from 5am onwards.
The collection services will return to its normal schedule on Jan 27, said Trienekens’ Department Logistics Operations III manager Halix Kuyong in a press statement yesterday.
He also reminded Kuching residents who are preparing for the festivities to refrain from disposing their waste indiscriminately.
“Keep your neighbourhood areas clean. Any extra waste should be packed and disposed properly into the additional bins or containers provided, which are available for use at some of these areas until Jan 28,” Halix added.
Areas with early collection services are: Sungai Maong/Stapok area under the Kuching North City Commission (DBKU); Kenyalang/Batu Lintang/Chawan; Tabuan Jaya/Muara Tabuan;
Pending; Padungan/Jalan Ban Hock/Sekama; Stampin/Hui Sing/Jalan Song/Kempas/ Foochow/BDC/ Stutong/Jalan Lapangan Terbang under the Kuching South City Council (MBKS); and Dogan/Batu 7/Batu Kawa under the Padawan Municipal Council (PMC).
