KUCHING: Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg received a courtesy call by the Election Commission of Malaysia (EC) led by its chairman, Tan Sri Mohd Hashim Abdullah in the former’s office at Wisma Bapa Malaysia, Petra Jaya, Kuching, yesterday.
The visit was the first by Mohd Hashim since Abang Johari’s appointment as Sarawak’s chief minister.
Members of the delegation included EC Deputy Chairman, Othman Mahmood, Secretary Datuk Abdul Ghani Salleh, EC member Dato’ Md Yusop Mansor and director of EC Sarawak, Datu Haji Takun@Takon Sunggah.
Abang Johari also received a courtesy call by Malaysian Anti Corruption Commission (MACC) led by MACC Deputy Chief Commisioner of Operations, Datuk Seri Azam Baki.
The visit was meant to introduce the new Sarawak MACC director, Razim Mohd Noor who succeeded Dato’ Badrul Shah Norma who retired on 26 February this year.
Also present was Sarawak MACC Deputy Director, Zulhairy Zaidel.
