KUCHING: Flood victims who are currently placed at temporary evacuation centres (PPS) in Bau and Serikin on Sunday continued to receive help.

Hope Place, a non-governmental organisation (NGO), was among the bodies that helped to lift the burden of these people.

Its founder Kelvin Wan said they had distributed the flood assistance in the form of food items at six of such centres in both Bau and Serikin where the affected families comprising 353 individuals were placed.

“We want to thank all of the donors that have contributed the food items and at the same time extend our appreciation to the police and Civil Defence Force in helping to transport the food items,” he said.

Wan said, however, not all families could receive equally the same number of items as some items were out of stock.

For further information, Hope Place can be reached at 082-505987. Their opening hours are from 8.30am to 5.30pm from Mondays till Fridays and 8.30am to 12.30pm on Saturdays.
