H&L gives back to the society

KUCHING: Seven needy families in Kuching and Matang areas received assistance from H&L Supermarket in collaboration with Hope Place Kuching for the upcoming Chinese New Year celebration.

The assistance was in the form of food items, mandarin oranges and charity bags comprising bihun, sardines and oats.

Overall, the contributions given to each needy family were worth more than RM300.

H&L marketing officer Lianny Bujang said the main purpose of the campaign is to share the joy and happiness of Chinese New Year with the less fortunate.

“H&L also set up a collection and drop-off counter at Eastern Mall Siburan where members of the public were encouraged to drop off their pre-love items.

“At H&L, we always encourage everyone to do good for a better community. We should care not for just our own family, but others who are less fortunate too,” she said in a statement.
