DALAT: Ten underprivileged persons from Kampung Teh, Oya here received personal donations from Welfare, Community Wellbeing, Women, Family and Childhood Development Minister Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah yesterday.
Fatimah, who is also Dalat assemblywoman, presented the donations in a programme in conjunction with the Hari Raya Aidiladha celebration, which will be celebrated this Friday.
Organised by Skuad Kasih Sayang (SKS), the event focused on providing assistance to people in need.
At the programme, Fatimah also gave a briefing on development projects that had been, and were being, implemented in the village.
In addition, she also presented a minor rural project grant cheque to Kampung Teh Oya Village Development and Security Committee.
The money will be used to pave the parking lot in front of a tebaloi factory as well as to build a pontoon on the banks of an old cemetery.
