MIRI: Fire gutted two wooden houses in Kampung Dagang Bekenu on Sunday afternoon, leaving
four families homeless.
According to sources, the owners of both houses were not home when the fire happened at around 2.30pm as they were in Bekenu town selling local products.
Nine firemen from the Miri fire station rushed to the scene after a report on the fire was received.
No casualties were reported in the incident.
The actual cause of the fire is unknown yet as investigation is underway.
