KUCHING: Last night’s heavy downpour has caused 13 houses in Lorong 17A2, Kampung Sinar Budi Baru to be inundated with flood waters.
A spokesman from the Civil Defence Force (APM) Kuching said the waters started rising and affected the houses around 6am.
However, as of 11am, the water levels are receding and are reportedly under control.
It is told that the roads are passable by vehicles despite flood waters overflowing on the road.
The weather is also reported to be drizzling in the neighbourhood.
APM Kuching members who were deployed to monitor the situation had advised the residents to be prepared if the water level rose.
The residents, especially children, were also advised against playing in flood waters.
