Four clinics in Kapit open as assessment centres

KAPIT: A total of four clinics in the Kapit division are now open as Covid-19 Assessment Centres (CACs).

According to the Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas) Kapit on Saturday (Sept 18), among the health clinics are Kapit Health Clinic, Song Health Clinic, Sungai Asap Health Clinic and Belaga Health Clinic.

In this regard, a spokesperson said that surrounding residents who want to take a Covid-19 test or those who have been confirmed positive but have not been taken or have not been contacted by the District Health Office can visit the nearest clinic or contact the nearest health office or clinic for assistance.

“In the meantime, patients who are instructed to self-quarantine at home must adhere to the standard operating procedures (SOPs) that have been set and can contact the nearest CAC if there is anything needed.

“For the Kapit Health Clinic, the operating hours are Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm and for Saturday and Sunday, the operating hours are from 9am to 3pm,” he said.

He added that residents around may also call 017-8159052 or 010-2431486.

For Song Health Clinic, it operates daily from 8am to 5pm and the contact number is 084-777634 or 011-65579190.

In the meantime, Sungai Asap Health Clinic also operates daily from 8am to 5pm and can be contacted at 017-8524905 if needed.

Meanwhile, the Belaga Health Clinic operates on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 3pm to 5pm and can be contacted at 086-461323 or 086-461148, he said.
