KUCHING: The franchise industry has the potential to provide more job opportunities for fresh graduates.

Minister of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi held out thus potential at the Jelajah Franchise Bay programme launching here today.

He said every year 70,000  IPTA graduates look for jobs in the market.

This programme will give them an alternative – to not only be job seekers but also job creators.

He elaborated that the Ministry believes in the programme’s potential and will be taking it seriously.

He said the objective of the programme is to expose the public to choose the franchise industry because of its benefits such as its consistency, convenience in starting a business and its ability to help increase the economic growth of the country.

The Jelajah Franchise Bay programme will be held throughout the country, specifically in Johor (July 9-11), Pahang (July 15-17 ), Selangor (Aug 19-21 ) and Kedah (Nov 17-19).
