SIBU: Gan Koh Nee from Methodist Chinese kindergarten and Jotham Ling Hou Meng from SJK Taman Rajang emerged champion in their respective categories of a Children Colouring contest.
The competition was jointly organised by Sarawak Mental Health Association, Sibu and KRT Pasar Teku in conjunction with World Mental Health Day recently.
The prize presentation ceremony was held at the Sibu Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry hall.
Sibu Resident Charles Siaw gave away prizes to the winners. Also present was kapitan So Teck Kee, who is the chairman of Sarawak Mental Health Association, Sibu.
The contest was divided into 2 categories, namely Kindergarten 1 (group A) and Kindergarten 2 (group B).
Gan won the contest for group A, while Tan Yong Xi and Tang Sing Rou both from Pick Hua kindergarten won second and third place respectively.
Besides Ling who won the group B category, Emilia Tie Tze Rong from SJK Taman Rajang came in second while Austin Lau Hui Haw was placed third.
