KUCHING: Plans are afoot to include the Gawai Dayak Bazaar in Sarawak’s tourism calendar.

Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas said the bazaar has the potential to be part of the calendar, assuring that the matter will be discussed with both th state and federal tourism ministries.

“After all, Gawai Dayak is already in the calendar, and this Gawai Dayak Bazaar, including the Niti Daun, has presented a very colourful event that adds beautiful colours of unity and diversity in Sarawak and Malaysia,” he told a press conference after officiating at the Gawai Dayak Bazaar 2023 at Kuching South City Council (MBKS) Community Hall here last night (June 18).
