GE15: Anyi Ngau wins Baram seat

MARUDI: Gabungan Parti Sarawak’s (GPS) Datuk Anyi Ngau retained his Baram parliamentary seat after defeating his opponents in a three-corner-fight in the 15th General Election (GE15).

Anyi, 64, secured a total of 18,399 votes, sealing his win with a 7,339 vote majority against Roland Engan of Pakatan Harapan (PH) and Independent Wilfred Entika Rebai.

Roland garnered 11,060 votes, while Wilfred Entika gained only 324 votes, losing his deposit.

Baram has a total 59,535 registered voters.

The Baram election was suspended on Saturday following poor weather conditions and was resumed this morning.
