MUKAH: A generous community leader has helped to boost the morale of frontliners with gifts in conjunction with the Chinese New Year celebration.

These frontliners who are manning five locations during the current conditional movement control order (CMCO) here received the gifts from Kapitan Kueh Bing Chuan on Sunday (Feb 14) which was also Valentine’s Day.

Kueh’s CNY gifts comprised Mandarin oranges and drinks. These really helped to cheer up the frontliners. They consist of personnel from the police, Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM) and People’s Volunteer Corps (Rela) manning at Kingwood Hotel Resort, Jalan Simpang Datan Jebungan, Politeknik Mukah, Mukah Youth Camp and Mukah Hospital.

The local Kapitan was accompanied by Mukah district acting Rela officer Awang Abdul Rahman Awang Shajirin and Mukah district assistant Rela officer Mohd Faziron Tujiko.

Originating from Kampung Penakub Bazaar Ulu here, Kueh thanked the frontliners for their contribution in helping the government to break the chain of Covid-19 infections.
