Hadi Fayyadh joins Japan’s club Fagiano Okayama

KUALA LUMPUR: National under-19 striker, Hadi Fayyadh Abdul Razak will be joining the Japan Professional Football League (JLeague) Division 2 club, Fagiano Okayama for a one-year term.

In a statement yesterday, Hadi Fayyadh, 18, who had undergone two trial training sessions with the club, said playing in Japan had been his childhood dream.He said he would use the opportunity to wear Fagiano Okayama’s jersey to gain as much experience in improving his performance and career prospects.

“Alhamdulillah, I am very happy to have gained a place in this club. This is my ambition since childhood and it will be a good start for me to improve my skills.

“Japan is one of the best Asian countries in football and it has a structured development programme. Hence, I will make full use of this opportunity to pave a brighter future for me in this sport,” he added.

 In the statement, the striker who played for Johor Darul Ta’zim 2 (JDT ll) in this season’s Malaysia league, expressed his appreciation to Yakult Malaysia for helping him to realise his dream to play in Japan.

“My next target is to improve my skills to compete for a place in the (Japan club’s) first team,” he added.

Meanwhile, Yakult (M) Sdn Bhd managing director, Hiroshi Hamada described Hadi Fayyadh’s success as a result of his perseverance and hard work.

Hamada also stated his willingness to help more talented young players who are keen to play in Japan. – Bernama

“I was informed by the team manager that Hadi had always given his best that he gained the team’s attention to choose him.

“I hope this success will open the opportunity for other Malaysian players to gain a spot in the Japan Professional League. We will always support Hadi and help any Malaysian who wants to play there,” he said. –Bernam
