KUCHING: Tomorrow (Aug 4), Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg celebrates his 71st birthday.

Deputy Chief Minister Tan Sri Dr James Jemut Masing is among those wished him a happy birthday.

“I wish him all the best for his 71st birthday,” he said.

Masing said the chief minister had done the best he could for the state, especially in dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic.

“Abang Johari’s decision on the ‘jab first, record later’ vaccination approach is the right thing to do,” he said.

He said the such approach was the best decision a Malaysian leader had made in the fight of Covid-19.

“It was decisive, correct and, at the same time, effective,” said Masing.
