BINTULU: A driver died after the heavy machine that he was in went out of control and fell into a ravine at Jalan Ulu Sebungan (Off Jalan Sebauh).
Sarawak Traffic Police chief Supt Alexson Naga Chabu said the accident happened around 7pm last Thursday.
He said investigations found that Musa Nyanau, 56, lost control of the road construction machine which was going towards Sebauh, swerved to the left side and fell into a 10-meter-deep ravine.
“The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by Sebauh paramedics. The body was taken to Bintulu Hospital,” he said, adding that the case was being investigated under Section 41 (1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
