KUCHING: A Hospital Sentosa social worker knew of Hope Place through articles in the local newspapers.   The hospital read of Hope Place’s  social relief activities in helping the under privileged.  Hence the Hospital’s social worker began to refer several cases to Hope Place, hoping to give some assistance to their mentally challenged patients. The hospital brought Hope Place’s staff to visit and interview them, several times.

Currently, Hope Place is helping 23 cases. It is assisting with food aids for the hospital’s out-patients, ranging from couples, parent and child, as well as individuals. The hospital’s social worker will help Hope Place to deliver the food aids when they make house calls.  Hope Place’s collaboration with the social worker has eased a lot of hardship in these people’s lives.
