KUCHING: A terrace house at Jalan Anggerik, Taman Rassnorm, Matang here was partially destroyed in a fire yesterday morning.
According to the Fire and Rescue Department, the fire started at around 10am in the kitchen of the house.
Petra Jaya fire and rescue station dispatched a team of 10 firefighters led by PBK II Awang Affendi Awang Daud to the scene.
They were assisted by 12 other firefighters from Padungan station led by PBK II Fauzi Alwi
The firemen succeeded in preventing the fire from engulfing the whole house and nearby homes.
There were no reports of casualties and loss to properties and the cause of the fire are yet to be ascertained.
