ICQS Complex Tebedu gets RM100 mln from Putrajaya

TEBEDU: The federal government has allotted up to RM100 million to upgrade Tebedu’s Immigration, Customs, Quarantine and Security (ICQS) Complex.

Director of the State Implementation Monitoring Unit (SIMU) Felicia Tan, who represented the Acting State Secretary, said that the upgrade work included the administrative block, entry and exit control operation block, canteen, pump house and water tank, multi-purpose hall, existing quarters, waste house and Surau Darul Sa’adah.

She was quoted as saying this in a news report by Sarawak Public Communications Unit (UKAS) during a working visit to the ICQS complex here today.

The commencement of the upgrading work won’t be made public until the upcoming revision meeting.

For the record, Tebedu ICQS Complex is located approximately 110km from Kuching via Serian – Tebedu road.

Also present were Sarawak Security and Enforcement Unit (UKPS) director Datuk Dr Chai Khin Chung, UKPS deputy director Datuk Clarence Rorote Sangon, Serian Resident Selamat Jati Yanjah, Serian deputy Resident Caroline Cleophas Joseph and Tebedu District Officer Joseph Liaw.
