MUKAH: The weak internet access in rural areas in Sarawak is really a big problem for rural folk and schools as far as e-learning is concerned, said PKR Mukah Branch head Abdul Jalil Bujang.

Since it was unclear when students would return to school, the internet access and other issues related to e-learning should be given priority by the government, he stressed.

“If they are not resolved, the dissimilarity gap will widen in the long run and may cause more school dropouts,” said Abdul Jalil.

He hoped the Sarawak government, ministry and the relevant parties would look into the problems as soon as possible so that e-learning and teaching would function smoothly.
