KUCHING: Former Deputy Chief Minister Tan Sri Dr Alfred Jabu Numpang has been reappointed as Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (Unimas) pro
chancellor.
The reappointment was made by the Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud, who is also Unimas chancellor.
The signing ceremony for the reappointment was held at the Astana Negeri yesterday morning.
Unimas’ top management led by its Board of Directors chairman Tan Sri Datuk Seri Panglima Sulong Matjeraie brought the letter of reappointment to Taib.
Also present were Unimas vice chancellor Prof Datuk Dr Mohamad Kadim Suaidi, deputy vice chancellors Prof Datuk Mohd Fadzil Abd Rahman and Prof Dr Ahmad Hata Rasit and Unimas senior officers.
