LUNDU: Forty-one-year-old Jennifer Andrew Tiga Paet bested six other aspirants to emerge the Batang Kayan Festival Senior Kebaya Queen 2022 here on Friday night.
The mother of one who comes from Kampung Atas, Singai, Bau looked resplendent in a pink kebaya nyonya, matching it with batik fabric and accessories such as a golden bun and a scarf.
The runner-up spot went to Lucy Lenjong, 42, from Kampung Sampun Kelili, Asajaya while third place was won by Nurita Abdullah, 50, from Kampung Sindang Baru, Kota Samarahan.
This Senior Kebaya Queen competition which was open to women aged 41 and above took place on the main stage of the 2022 Batang Kayan Festival attracting the attention of over 2,000 visitors.
Prizes were presented by the Opar assemblyman, Billy Sujang. Also present to witness the competition was Assistant District Officer, Zulkipli Morshidi.
