KOTA SAMARAHAN: In an effort to empower new entrepreneurs, especially among the youth and women, the Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA) hosted the “Zero to Hero” Basic Entrepreneurship Seminar, drawing in 60 eager participants.

The seminar was organised in line with MARA’s latest initiative, the forthcoming “MARA STAR Accelerator Hub,” slated to open in the first quarter of the upcoming year, revealed Kota Samarahan MP Datuk Rubiah Wang.

Expected to accommodate up to 90 new entrepreneurs, Rubiah said the incubator centre aims to provide a business address for registration purposes, as well as mentorship, financial guidance, and advisory services.

“This will allow them to obtain the facility of using the centre’s address for business registration purposes, in addition to channelling guidance to entrepreneurs who need financial assistance and advisory services.

“I also call on entrepreneurs especially in the Kota Samarahan area to take every opportunity and make the most of it through the various initiatives and facilities channelled by government agencies to Bumiputera entrepreneurs, especially the facilities offered through MARA,” she said.

She said this in a Facebook post after attending the closing ceremony of the seminar at the Think Big Centre, here recently.

Expressing hopes for the upliftment of the Bumiputera economy in Kota Samarahan, Rubiah envisioned the new centre fostering enthusiasm among budding entrepreneurs for greater collective success.

“I am very grateful, appreciate and congratulate MARA Sarawak for successfully realising the entrepreneurship programme especially for the people of Kota Samarahan.

“I am also honoured to be able to meet the entrepreneurs among the youth and women who successfully completed this seminar,” she said.
