The seniors netted an equaliser in the 31st minute through Dzulazlan. In the second half, Sufizal Ismail netted two goals for the seniors in the 44th and 48th minutes, putting his team in the lead by 3-1.

Hafis Saferi contributed the fourth goal to the seniors by scoring in the final minute of the match.

Kuching FA Premier League striker Joseph Kalang Tie said there were many shortcomings in both teams that need to rectify.

“For the junior team, I believe they can go a long way because they scored the first goal of the match and could have won the game if they could keep up with their speed and concentration.

“They just need to have the confidence to go the distance with the seniors and train harder,” he said when met by reporters at the State Stadium yesterday.
