KUCHING: Bandar Kuching MP Dr Kelvin Yii should demand for more allocations in the upcoming Parliamentary sitting for the development of human resources in the police department in view of increasing safety issues in Kuching.

Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) Youth chief Milton Foo said, “This is due to the alarming issues of crime happening in Kuching which needs the police to strengthen their patrol at areas that are high-risk for crime.

“But, I was informed that they (police) are currently lacking manpower to do so. Hence, I urge him (Dr Yii) to raise this matter in Parliament and demand for more allocations for the police from the Home Ministry.”
