KUCHING: Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) public complaints bureau chief Wilfred Yap advised residents of Stampin Resettlement Scheme to inform eligible landowners under the resettlement or village extension programme to submit their land premium refund applications to the Land and Survey Department.

Yap, who recently visited the area, said he came to inform eligible landowners who were still not aware of the land premium refund as the deadline for refund application is October this year.

He said the application forms for land premium refunds can be obtained from the Land and Survey Department at Jalan Badruddin, Kuching. The land premium refund policy is one of the numerous people-friendly initiatives of the GPS government under the leadership of Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg. The refund is capped at RM2,500.

Yap said eligible landowners who had paid more than RM2,500 can now  apply for refunds of any access amounts. For cases where eligible landowners have passed away, the administrator of the estate of the deceased landowner can apply for the refund by providing the relevant documents.
