KOTA PADAWAN: Only 24 entertainment outlet licences were issued by Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) according to its chairman, Ir. Lo Khere Chiang. He added that the 24 licences include five vending machine outlets namely at Eastern Mall, Siburan, 7th Mile Unaco, Penrissen Court, 4th Mile Everrise, Moyan Square at Batu kawa.
“These are the only five licences where it is stated very clearly “No Fish Machine”, he told reporters after the monthly full council meeting last Thursday. Lo added that the 24 entertainment licences include karaoke, music café and cyber café. “So it is not true that MPP issued so many ‘fish machine’ licences. No. None. So all the ‘fish machines’ are illegal,” he pointed out.He said MPP was also working closely with the police.
“We have good cooperation with the present Padawan Police chief. Gambling is under the purview of the police and Padawan Police chief is keeping all these illegal gambling activities under control ,” he said. According to Lo, the MPP has not issued even a single fish machine licence. “Not even one single fish machine licence,” he said.
