MIRI: This year will mark the 13th edition of the Miri City Christmas Parade, making a comeback after a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic.

“The organising committee is headed by the Roman Catholic Church.

“The theme for this year is ‘Jesus, Joy of Christmas’ taken from the Bible – Luke, Chapter 1, Verse 14.

“We will invite Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg to be the guest of honour,” he told the media on Wednesday (Oct 12).

“The parade will start from Miri City Fan, then head to Jalan Kipas, Jalan Sylvia, Jalan Brooke, Jalan Bendahara, Jalan Nahkoda Gampar, Jalan South Yu Seng, Jalan North Yu Seng, Jalan Datuk Merepati, Jalan Kipas and back to Miri City Fan.”

He added that the roads would be closed starting from 5pm onwards on that day.
